Airport Public View Gallery re-open from Aug 01

The Public View Gallery at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake will re-open to the public from August 1, Airport sources disclosed today.

This gallery was closed to the public by the authorities at the airport for many years following terrorist threat posed by the LTTE.

The Colombo Airport came under attack from the LTTE several times.

Following the elimination of LTTE terrorism and with the dawn of peace, airport authorities have decided to restore the gallery to the public.

The public could now view their kith and kin leaving the country from this gallery.
